How it works
From behavior to adaptive training and protection
Human risk management measures how people actually behave around phishing and other threats, then adapts training and protection to reduce that risk. With Phished, every action feeds the Behavioral Risk Score™ and the risk categories. Phished’s AI turns that into adaptive security awareness training: simulations and training that fit each person’s level, plus the protection, guidance and follow-up their risk category calls for, updated every day.

The Behavioral Risk Score™
One human risk score, built on real behavior
Completion rates show who clicked “next”. The Behavioral Risk Score™ shows how likely an incident caused by human error is, for each person, each team and the organization as a whole. In other words: how strong your human cyber resilience is, and whether it grows.
60% of breaches involve a person. That’s where we measure risk.

Why Phished
Training-only platforms stop at the lesson. Phished also protects at the click.
Most platforms measure behavior, then leave protection to another tool. Phished’s AI-native platform does both in one place: the score that adapts training also sets how the Phished Assistant protects each risk category.
A live view that acts for you
- Weak spots get both. Extra training and extra protection, driven by the same behavior data.
- Protection at the click. Protected view, AI verdict and guidance in email, chat, SMS and the browser, with the Phished Assistant for browsers and other channels.
- Per person, team and location. See where risk sits and where support is needed most.
- Follow-up built in. Reminders and targeted follow-up go out based on behavior.

FAQ
Human risk management FAQ
What is human risk management?
Human risk management is the practice of measuring and reducing the security risk that comes from people’s behavior, such as clicking a phishing link, entering data on a fake page or letting training expire. Instead of counting course completions, it looks at how people actually behave, then adapts training and protection to match.
Is human risk management just security awareness training?
No. Security awareness training teaches people what to look out for. Human risk management measures how people actually behave and adapts training to it, and with Phished it also protects people at the click: the Behavioral Risk Score™ that adapts training also sets how the Phished Assistant protects each risk category.
What are examples of human risk in cybersecurity?
Clicking a phishing link, entering credentials on a fake login page, opening a malicious attachment, letting security training expire, or acting on a deepfake call that pushes for a payment. Phished groups these behaviors into risk categories such as first-time clickers and repeat offenders.
What should a human risk management platform include?
A behavior-based risk score, risk categories that group people by what they do, adaptive phishing simulations and training, automatic follow-up and reporting you can show auditors. Phished adds what training-only platforms miss: protection at the click, with the Phished Assistant opening suspicious content in a protected view and giving an AI verdict and guidance.
What is the Behavioral Risk Score™?
The Behavioral Risk Score™ shows how likely an incident caused by human error is, for each person, each team and the organization as a whole. It is built on phishing simulations, Phished Assistant verdicts, reported emails, training, apps and devices and threat alerts, and compared to national and global averages, so you see whether your human cyber resilience grows.
How does adaptive security awareness training work in Phished?
Phished’s AI adapts phishing simulations to each user profile and level, so nobody gets scenarios that are too easy or too hard. Someone who clicks a fake login page gets more of those scenarios and short anti-phishing training on that exact topic; someone who lets sessions expire gets a reminder that points to what is still open.
How is Phished different from other security awareness vendors?
Most security awareness vendors stop at training and phishing simulations, and protection lives in a separate tool. Phished trains and protects: the same Behavioral Risk Score™ that adapts training also decides how the Phished Assistant protects each risk category, with a protected view, an AI verdict and guidance at the moment people click.
What are risk categories?
Groups of people based on what they do and who they are, such as first-time clickers, repeat offenders, expired training sessions, new hires and the C-suite. The Risk Category Dashboard shows how many people are in each category and lets you set its protection and guidance mode.
What are the protection and guidance modes?
For each risk category you choose how the Phished Assistant protects people: email interactions (manual), where the user opens the protected view through the add-in; email interactions (automatic), powered by Zero-Incident Mail, which adds a safety banner to every email; and non-email interactions, which cover chat, SMS, QR codes and the browser.
What is phishing attack surface coverage?
The share of the phishing attack surface covered by the protected view, AI analysis and guidance for a risk category. It shows which channels are covered, such as email links, attachments, chat, collaboration apps, browser links and smishing, and goes up as you turn on more protection.
How does follow-up work?
Follow-up is tied to behavior: reminders go to people with expired training, and a customized follow-up email can be sent from any risk profile in one click, aimed at what the person actually did. The Behavioral Risk Score™ then shows whether it worked.
Can I see human risk per team or location?
Yes. Every department and location has its own risk profile with the manager, the number of people, the average risk score, active risk categories, simulation results and what the group is behind on, so you see where support is needed most.
How is personal data protected?
Access to reports with personal data follows your permissions, and people in sensitive departments or locations stay protected in the dashboard. Phished maintains the certifications and data handling listed in the compliance section above.
